REGULAR MEETING

BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL

Present: Campbell, Boss, Sowers, Spearing, McCallum, Palajac, Potter

 

Absent: Stewart, Drenth

 

Others:  Jerry Rasmussen, Ben Herrick

 

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00pm

  1. Motion by McCallum/Boss to accept the ZBA minutes of August 8, 2022, as Presented. CARRIED 6-0
  2. Motion by Sowers/Palajac to accept the regular minutes of August 8, 2022, as presented. CARRIED 6-0

 

PUBLIC INPUT:  Jerry Rasmussen:  Discussed moving the radar signs to village limits, replacing the sidewalk in front of Sue Gardener, creek behind Sue Gardener, and placing a drinking fountain in Community Square.

 

DEPARMENTAL REPORTS: 

 

  1. Police: The village will be invoiced and then reimbursed for body camera

 

  1. DPW: Reliability Study is done

 

  1. Streets: Invoice for Ellsworth/Atwood received from ACRC for $48,957.40 received

 

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

 

  1. DDA: Concerts in the Park went well

 

  1. Planning Commission: Did not meet in September

 

  1. Parks and Recreation: Revenue for 2022 is down slightly at Wooden Shoe and other campgrounds in the area

 

DISCUSSION:

 

  1. Paddle Antrim – TV 9&10 here tomorrow, Paddle Party 5:30 Thursday, and Paddlers start Friday at 9:45 am at River Park
  2. Wastewater project – In the Pipeline
  3. Have a Halloween trunk or treat
  4. Sale of old dump property – hearing will be held at October’s meeting
  5. Weed problem in Lake St. Clair and other lakes in the chain
  6. Bridge and other Culverts
  7. Web site traffic report handed out
  8. No budget amendments for this meeting
  9. RRC – Just a few more web posting and the Village should be certified

 

ACTION ITEMS:

 

  1. Motion by Palajac/McCallum to keep the rates at Woodenshoe for 2023 the same as the 2022 rates. CARRIED 6-0

 

  1. Motion by Sowers/Spearing to rehire Chris and Ed Green as park attendants for 2023.

 CARRIED 6-0

 

  1. Motion by Spearing/McCallum to increase the availability rate for water customers by $10 per month effective October 1, 2022.  CARRIED 6-0

 

  1. Motion by Palajac/Campbell to approve the bills. CARRIED 6-0

 

  1. Motion by Campbell/Boss to adjourn at 8:10 pm.
