Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00 PM
- Motion Sowers, Boss by to accept May 10, 2021, regular minutes as presented. CARRIED 6-0
- Motion by Spearing, Boss to accept May 24, 2021, ZBA minutes as presented. CARRIED 6-0
- Motion by McCallum, Palajac to accept May 24, 2021, Special Meeting minutes as presented.

PUBLIC INPUT: Dan Bennett from East Jordan Outfitters was present to present drawings of what the kayak rental structure will look like that he is putting at River Park. He also explained how the project will work. The structure will hold four single and two tandem kayaks and two paddle boards. There will also be life jackets for rent.
DEPARMENTAL REPORTS:
- Police: Officer McLean gave her monthly report. Also informed the Council she is no longer working part-time for Central Lake police department.
- DPW: Discussed purchasing signs stating reduced speed ahead.
- Streets: Discussed the need for new guard rails for the north side of the bridge on Bridge street and the corner of Church and Lake Street.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
- Planning Commission: Did not meet.
- Parks and Recreation: Woodenshoe Park is doing well. They are experiencing trouble with the Wi-Fi but working with Charter and Strange Security to resolve the problem. The summer recreation program has low numbers this year but is moving forward.
DISCUSSION:
- 2020-2021 Audit – Report distributed to Council members.
- Paddle Antrim – There was a good turnout for their ribbon cutting ceremony. The festival will return again this year on September 16, 17 and 18.
- Village flowers – Planters have been filled and placed around town.
- Community Square/Farmers Market – Up and going.
- DDA – Did not meet – no quorum.
- Update on sanitary waste system – Environmental study passed, waiting on archaeological study.
- Pickle Ball/Tennis Courts – We have received a $5,000.00 grant from GLE and waiting to hear from Oleson’s Foundation on an additional grant.

- Motion by Boss, McCallum to pass delinquent water bill resolution. CARRIED 6-0
- Motion by Boss, Spearing to set millage rate at 12.50 for L-4029. CARRIED 6-0
- Motion by McCallum, Palajac to approve tax collection resolution. CARRIED 6-0
- Motion by Boss, Spearing to approve ordering six new picnic tables for Woodenshoe. CARRIED 6-0
- Motion by Spearing, McCallum to place order for guard rails for Bridge Street and corner of Church and Lake Street.

- Motion by Campbell, Spearing to approve Resolution 0614 of 2021 regarding loan with Charlevoix State Bank in the amount of $20,000.00 to purchase a new tractor. CARRIED 6-0
- Motion by Sowers, Palajac to pay the bills. CARRIED 6-0
- Motion by Boss, McCallum to adjourn at 8:15pm. CARRIED 6-0
