Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm.
Larry E opened Public Hearing.
Purpose – To receive input from the public on the draft Zoning Ordinance. The revisions primarily include those necessary to satisfy the MEDC Redevelopment Ready Communities best practices.
The following changes are recommended to the draft Zoning Ordinance.
1.4 ENACTMENT
– Recommended the text in this section be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:
The Provisions of this Ordinance are to become effective within said Village on the eight day after the notice of the adoption has been published in a newspaper of general circulation. The notice of adoption shall be published within fifteen (15) days of enactment by the Village of Ellsworth Village Council.
8.6 ENACTMENT AND EFFECTIVE DATE
– Recommended the text in this section be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:
A. This Ordinance was enacted on the Month Day, Year by the Village of Ellsworth Village Council and will be effective on the eight day after publication. Such effective date shall be Month Day, Year. The foregoing Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map were presented at a public hearing before the Village of Ellsworth Planning Commission on July 16, 2020.
B. Amendments or revisions to this Ordinance or Zoning Map shall become effective on the eight (8) day after publication of a notice of adoption of said amendments or revisions within fifteen (15) days of adoption with Section 401 of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (PA 110 of 2006), as amended.
Public Comment – There was no public comment.
Motion made and supported to make these following changes to the draft Zoning Ordinance.
Passed 5 to 0.

Reviewed Minutes of the March 12 and June 1 meetings. Approved Minutes of both March 12 and June 1 meetings.
