REGULAR MEETING

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00 PM
1. Motion by Sowers, Palajac to accept July 12, 2021 regular minutes as presented. CARRIED 6-0
PUBLIC INPUT: Rasmussen is requesting that the radar sign coming into the Village be moved to a different location. Also discussed a misunderstanding between the Ellsworth St. Clair Fireworks and A Matter of Taste.
DEPARMENTAL REPORTS:
a. Police: Chief McLean gave monthly report.
b. DPW: Reliability study for the water department will have to be completed. Malfunctioning water meters are being addressed.
c. Streets: N/A
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
a. Planning Commission: Did not meet in July.
b. Parks and Recreation: Wi-fi at Wooden shoe is now working well. The picnic tables that were ordered have arrived.
c. DDA: Chairperson, Rusty Powers has resigned and will need to be replaced.
DISCUSSION:
a. Community Square – request to place a picnic table in the gazebo.
b. Labyrinth – searching for someone to do maintenance at the labyrinth.
c. Paddle Antrim/ Water Trail – Maps are now available.
d. Sewage Project – People on the property performing the archaeological study.
e. M66 detour 2022 – The planned detour from East Jordan thru Ellsworth has been changed and will not go thru Ellsworth.
ACTION ITEMS:
2. Motion by Boss, McCallum to prepay propane with Ellsworth Farmers Exchange in the amount of $1700.00. CARRIED 6-0
3. Motion by Spearing, Boss to increase the availability rate on water bills by $5.00 to be effective on the September bills. CARRIED 6-0
4. Motion by Sowers, Spearing to approve budget amendments. CARRIED 6-0
5. Motion by Campbell, Boss to replace Judy Worgess with Lynn Spearing on the DDA to expire 12-31-21. CARRIED 6-0
6. Motion by Spearing, Palajac to replace Mary Petersen with Ginny McCallum on the DDA to expire 12-31-23. CARRIED 6-0
7. Motion by Boss, Palajac to pay the bills. CARRIED 6-0
8. Motion by Campbell, Boss to adjourn at 8:00pm. CARRIED 6-0
