Boss opened budget hearing at 7:00 PM

The Finance Committee presented the 2019-2020 budget. A short discussion on the budget was held.

Meeting called to order by Boss at 7:05 PM

1. Motion by Spearing, Sowers to accept the January 14, 2019 minutes as presented. CARRIED. 5-0

PUBLIC INPUT:

DEPARMENTAL REPORTS:

Police: John Morris gave his monthly report.

DPW: Rasmussen gave a brief report on the water leak in the Village and reported that it has been repaired.

Streets:

COMMITTEE REPORT:

Planning Commission: No meeting was held in January 2019.

Finance Committee: Reviewed the 2019-2020 budget.

DISCUSSION:

a. 2019 Pig Roast/Fireworks – Spearing reported the following people have been appointed to the following positions: Christina Charbonneau-Chair, Tina Sundelius-Vice-chair, Betsy Randall-Coordinator, and Heidi MacNicol-will solicit sponsorships. They also are requesting financial support from the Village as in the past. Rasmussen reported the Fireworks will take place on July 5, 2019. They will also be requesting financial support as in the past.

b. Waste Water Sewer Project – Discussion about holding another meeting for the public as there seems to be a number of questions residents would like answered. Would invite Jennifer Hodges from Gourdie Frasier to be present.

2. Motion by Rasmussen, Spearing to approve the 2019-2020 Budget. CARRIED: 5-0

3. Motion by Rasmussen, Sowers to approve the budget amendments. CARRIED 5-0

4. Motion by McCallum, Rasmussen to approve Recreation Marijuana Ordinance No. 0211 of 2019. CARRIED 5-0

5. Motion by Rasmussen, Sowers to pay the bills. CARRIED 5-0

6. Motion by McCallum, Spearing to adjourn at 7:55PM. CARRIED 5-0
